Given
the tremendous importance & thrust given by the Ministry
of Power, GOI to Rural Electrification / APDRP programmes,
a new division / team has been formed since 2005.
The Rajeev Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) has
a goal of providing access to all household / villages in
next 5 years. Major funding to the Distribution Utilities
is from GOI / MOP grants, Power Finance Corporation (PFC),
Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) and HUDCO.
Scope of Work include : 33/11 KV HT Lines, LT Lines with
Cables, Installation of Distribution Transformers (DT) and
11/33 KV substations.
The company has secured in various jobs totalling over Rs
30 Billion (USD 750 Mn) for projects in Uttar Pradesh, West
Bengal, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Rajasthan and Maharashtra, covering
over 5,000 villages for Electrification and over 5,000 villages
for feeder
seperation.
Projects include various Bought out items such as Concrete
Poles, Conductors, H/W, N/B, insulators, Aerial Bunched
Cable, Energy Meters, Distribution Transformers, Distribution
Boxes, LA, LT Capacitors etc.
